It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Burnen Dalton, 60, who died on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at a local hospital surrounded by friends and family. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and inspiration to all who came to know him and befriend him in his lifetime.
Mr. Dalton was born in Fort Payne, AL to Robert Benjamin Dalton and Katie Sue Dalton. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Audrey Leigh Dalton; children, Ashley Brooke Dalton and Robert William (Stefanie) Dalton; grandson, Hunter Grayson Dalton; sisters, Deborah (Charles) Knight and Tracie (David) Cunningham; brother, Robert Benjamin (Julia) Dalton, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and countless friends whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children Lexington, KY.
A memorial service honoring Robert Burnen Dalton will take place at the Lookout Valley Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
