Obituary

Robert E. "Bob" Kilgore passed away August 25, 2021 at his residence in Ringgold, GA at the age of 84. Bob was born August 17, 1937 in Chattanooga, TN to James V. Sr. and Elsie M. Kilgore. He was a believer in Jesus.

Bob was predeceased by his parents; wives, Sandra Peck Kilgore and Betty Williamson Kilgore; brothers, James V. Jr., George Hugh and David Gerald.

He is survived by his sister, Martha K. (Calvin/Pat) Payne; stepchildren, Timothy Moore, Kim Moore McCoy; grandchildren, Vicki (Matthew) Erwin, Jordan (Kyle) Montgomery, Miranda (Drew) Lewis, Haden Moore, Jack Moore and several precious great-grandchildren with many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his wonderful caregiver, Karen Heard; nurse, Angel Yoder; special niece, Susan (David) Gilbreath and constant companion dog, Molly.

Bob graduated from City High School in 1954 and attended the University of Chattanooga. He began his career with combustion engineering (30 years) and later retired from Aztec Industries (20 years).

Bob loved his family and friends, his dogs, golf and the Vols. He was a friend to all "Four Footed" animals and volunteered as a walker with the Catoosa Animal Shelter. He welcomed all strays.

A private graveside service for family and close friends will be held Monday, August 30 at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with Bernard Heard and Philip Raines officiating.

Memorial contributions donations may be made to the Catoosa Animal Shelter, 101 Allmond Lane, Ringgold, GA 30376.
