Obituary

In Loving Memory of Robert Lee Moore Jr. "Kornbread"

Robert Lee Moore Jr., August 10, 1981 passed away on October 28, 2026.

Lee "Kornbread" was a one-of-a-kind God fearing man who left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was funny, stubborn, big-hearted, and the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without thinking twice. He had a way of making people laugh, and his hugs were some of the best you could ever receive. If you knew Robert, you knew that behind that stubborn personality was a heart bigger than words could ever describe.

Lee found happiness in the simple things in life. He loved drawing, fishing, and riding motorcycles, but one of his greatest joys was being called Papaw. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and being their Papaw was a title he cherished more than anything.

Though his life was not without its struggles, those struggles do not define the man he was or the love he gave. Lee was so much more than his hardest days. He was a son, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, and a friend. He was a man with flaws, a beautiful heart, and a story that deserves to be remembered with love.

Lee leaves behind his loving mother, Rose Marie Blanchard; his children, Summer Marcum and Madison Moore; his cherished grandchildren, Sunny, Evelyn, and Angel; and his sisters, Robin, Katie, and Mary. He also leaves behind numerous cousins; great niece Rylie and great nephew Nicholas; nieces Breniaha, Bailey, and Zoe; nephews Jaylen and Landon; uncles, aunts, and many others whose lives were touched by him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Moore Sr.

Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we find comfort in knowing that the memories, laughter, hugs, and love he gave us will live on forever. There will always be stories to tell, memories to share, and moments when we wish we could have just one more hug.

Rest easy, Lee. You will forever be loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. Until we meet again, Papaw.
