Robert "Bob" Louis ODonley, 79, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Thursday, September 2, 2021.

He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Susan May ODonley; parents, George & Mabel ODonley; brother, Jerry ODonley; grandson, James Hammonds-ODonley.

Survivors include his children, including Joseph D. Kopin, Norman ODonley, Robbin ODonley, William ODonley, Tammy Miller, Tina Dunn, Melinda Guiterrez; granddaughter, Marissa ODonley-Borchert who was raised as a daughter; fourteen grandchildren & many great-grandchildren.

He loved westerns, a giant fan of University of Kentucky sports, Johnny Cash, woodworking, Star Trek, country music and dancing to country music with his wife. He loved going out to eat with his family and would, literally, give the shirt off his back to anyone.

He retired from the Chicago Transit Authority after 26 years of service.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 1 p.m. in Merrillville, Indiana.
