Roy Leon Lumpkin, Jr., "Pete", 87, passed away Saturday morning on May 25, 2019 at Memorial Hospital.

Born May 02, 1932 and raised in Anniston, Alabama, where he met his late wife, Betty Stewart Lumpkin and married for 62 years. Pete attended Auburn University and received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. Through his professional career, Roy worked for Combustion, TVA and FBT. Roy was also a member of many churches throughout the southeast, primarily though was a devout member of Hickory Valley Christian Church.

He leaves his son, John D Lumpkin and his four grandchildren; Chad H. Lumpkin, Sean D. Lumpkin, Jenna K. Lumpkin, Joshua K. Lumpkin. Two sisters; Doris Decker, Patsy Van-Dyke; and many close friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Hickory Valley Christian Church in the weeks to come, but no official date has been set.
