Sarah Denise (Marshall) Staton, the loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all, passed away peacefully May 24th, 2026 with her family by her side.

Sarah was born April 26th, 1979 in the city of Chattanooga and remained a lifetime resident. In 2001 she married her best friend, Darrel Staton, and started a family with him, taking care of her daughter and raising two boys with love and compassion. Sarah worked as a healthcare professional, extending her love and compassion to her patients, whom she treated like her own family, despite her degrading health.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Coffelt; paternal grandparents, Robert and Hazel Marshall; uncle, Ronald Marshall; and aunt, Margaret Coffelt.

She is survived by her husband, Darrel Staton; children, Katlyn Mendonca, Joshua and Joseph Staton; grandchildren, Samuel Mendonca, Chelsea, Kadence, Layana, Bentley, and Makenzie Blake; parents, Robert and Sue Marshall; brother, Adam Marshall and his family; maternal grandmother, Patricia Coffelt; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lake Hills Church of God, 4240 3rd Avenue, Chattanooga, TN, followed by graveside burial at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 SR-153, Hixson, TN at 2:00 p.m.
