Sarah Rose Zeanah, 74, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 22, 2016.

She was predeceased by her parents, Robert C. mother, Bettye J. Rose; father Robert C. Eaton, Sr.; grandparents, Grover and Willie Rose, and Ely and Essie Eaton.

She was a graduate of Chattanooga High School. She was previously employed by Chattanooga News Free Press, and Standard Publishing Co. in McMinnville, TN where she lived for several years. She retired from Cigna Healthcare.

She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, where she taught the Christian Friendship Sunday School class, was a former member of the chancel choir, UMW member.

Sarahs interests included painting, and studying Gods Word. She had become a prayer warrior because of Gods gracious forgiveness of her sins.

Survivors are her son Michael Zeanah and wife Donna; daughter Katy Smith and her husband Barry; grandchildren Daniel Shawn McDaniel, Caren Elizabeth Green and husband Heath, and Casey Dawn Hamby and her husband Jacob; three precious great-granddaughters, Piper Green, Lily and Iris Hamby; four special cousins and their spouses.

Visitation will be in St. John United Methodist Church, Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Carl Blackburn and the Rev. Tommy Nesser will conduct the service at 11:30 in the church.

Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. John United Methodist Church.
