Shawnna Marie Whitaker, 33, of Chattanooga, passed away, Monday, September 4, 2023. Shawnna was family oriented and loved being with her three children, had two green thumbs, loved learning to cook with her mom, and was passionate about the beach and marine life. Although allergic, she loved her dog, Flop and would care for any stray animals she came across. Her goofy laugh was infectious and would crack up the whole room, she was all around a beautiful soul. Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Marlie, Madisyn and Jack; mother, Peggy (David) Whitaker; brother, Jake (Jessica) Whitaker; sisters, Jill niece, Joci; nephew, Jacob; grandparents, Jack & Cookie Whitaker; uncles, Doug (Angela) Whitaker, Mike Whitaker; aunt, Patti (Don) Haynes with many cousins and close friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 10 from 2-4 p.m. at Lake Hills Church of God. The service will be conducted at 4 p.m. in the church.
