Shirley Helen Stewart Roberts, Age 79, went to be with her LORD and Savior on October 23,2024. Born on November 30,1944, in Felts Mills, New York, Shirley was a beloved daughter of the late Charles and Mary Stewart. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Harry Edgbert Roberts, and a loving mother to her late son Clarence Allen Roberts.
Shirley is survived by her children, Earl (Tina) Roberts, Sherry (Chris) Davidson, Eric (Wanda) Roberts, and Denise Roberts; her grandchildren, Jimmy, Marie, Amber (Joe), Katey, AJ, Rian, Chelsea, Hannah (Evan), Brittney (Jason), Chloe, Malachi; and her great grandchildren, Lil Joe, Thomas, Craig, Cashus, Alexander, Dahlia Lee, Lily, Carter, Braylee, Alan. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
Shirley's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and her deep love for the Lord. She dedicated her life to serving others and was passionate about sharing the message of salvation. As a long- time member of North Whitfield Missionary Baptist Church, Shirley was involved in numerous ministries of the church. She and her husband were missionaries to the Truck Stop Ministry at Cochran's Truck Stop for 30 years. Many truckers were saved. Shirley's greatest joy was witnessing the transformation of lives through the power of God's love. She had a heart for evangelism and spent countless hours praying for and encouraging those around her to find their faith. Her warm smile and gentle spirit were a source of comfort and inspiration to many. She and her husband ran a home rental business and many of their tenants loved her. She also was educated all the way with a Doctorate Degree in Counseling. She shared her love for Jesus with everyone she encountered.
A Celebration of Shirley's life will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 1:00PM at North Whitfield Missionary Baptist Church 3825 Chattanooga Rd. Tunnel Hill, GA 30755. The visitation will be held from 11:00AM - 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the church's Missionary fund, continuing Shirley's legacy of spreading the gospel.
