Sidney Thomas Hixson, 63, of Chattanooga, went to be with the Lord, Monday, October 23, 2017. He was born in Chattanooga and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting & fishing. He was a truck driver for Red Food/Bi-Lo for 37 years and drove for 5 years with Kenco. He last worked at TJ Hunt Trucking.

He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Harold (Bob) Hixson & Addie Odena Swafford Hixson & brother, Bobby Dean Hixson.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Jones Hixson; sons, Jimmy Hixson, Sidney Hixson, Jr.; daughters, Christine (Douglas) Neal, Nicole Darlene Taylor, Belinda Flippo Pittman; five grandchildren & ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 26; from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday, October 27; from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brainerd Hills Church of God. The Reverend Dwight L. Henderson will conduct the service at 1 p.m. at the church.

Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
