Stephen Karl "Steve" Rachels, 58, of Chattanooga, TN passed away Friday, March 25th after a brief bout with lung cancer.

Steve was born October 8th, 1963 to George and Edna (Dennis) Rachels in Lubbock TX. Although he lived in many places, he called Chattanooga home for the majority of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Rachels and Edna McNabb, his wife, Tammy Rachels, and his brother, Bobby Rachels. Surviving are his daughters, Desiree Rachels and Hannah Schaal (Nathan); 3 grandchildren, Aiden Rachels, Peyton Schaal, and Josslyn Schaal; many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 1st beginning at 6:30 P.M. at Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle, 8405 Daisy Dallas Road, Hixson, TN 37379. They service will be streamed live on their YouTube channel and will be viewable later on as well. Mitchs Sports Bar, 2555 Harrison Pike, Chattanooga, TN 37406, will be hosting those folks who wish to share one more toast to the life of Steve. Please send flowers to Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle.
