Voron Hilliard Baughan, Jr., 90 of Chattanooga, passed away at a local hospital two weeks before his 91st birthday.

He grew up on Army Posts and joined the United States Army Air Corps to become an Arial Gunman. He served in the Air Force for 22 years during WWII, Korea, The Cold War and Vietnam.

In his retirement years he learned beekeeping and became a very well known beekeeper and served as President of the Chattanooga Area Bee Keepers.

He was predeceased by his parents, Voron H., Sr. and Lessie Lee Baughan and brother, H. Lewis Baughan.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary Ruth; daughters, Susan Marie Baughan and Margaret (Ray) Bodenhamer; grandson Matthew (Hayley) Bodenhamer and Nickolas Bodenhamer; great-granddaughter, Bella and sister, Dorothy (Wilton) Brown of Panama City, FL.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, September 23 at 10:30 am in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
