W. C. Fine, 91, of Chickamauga, GA, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Agnes Lamar Fine, and his son, Lamar Fine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert M. & Ida T. Hicks Fine, and by siblings: Gladys Hope, Ora Standifer, Reba Barrett, Florence Daugherty, Louise LaFavor, John Fine, Bob Fine, Jim Fine And his in-laws, Jack & Mary Lamar.

W. C. served in the Army in Korea.

After 34 years service at Combustion Engineering, he retired at age 55, but continued to do international consulting with Combustion style businesses. His favorites were operations in Cornwall, Canada and Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

W. C. loved to work. He was fortunate to have been retired for 36 years (more years than he had worked.) His early retirement gave him the opportunity to do many projects.

W. C. loved to raise cattle on his farm in Rock Spring.

He was key in the restoration of Cove Methodist Church, where he was a member for over 50 years. He, along with two other men, built the Sunday School Annex.

He also helped his son, Lamar, clear ground and build his own baseball field.

He was a member of Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church for 28 years.

He was always supportive of Mary Agnes & Lamars endeavors, be it Fine Income Tax Service or the writing, traveling and marketing of their books.

Extensive genealogy research confirmed that W. C. was the longest lived Fine in the last 550 years. He was 91 years old.

But more than anything else, he was a Good Man.

A Graveside Service, with Military Honors, will be held at the Chickamauga Cemetery Pavilion on Friday, April 9th at 3 pm.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, April 11 at Cove Methodist Church, with Visitation from 12 3 pm and the service at 3 pm.
