William Thomas "Bill" DeVries, 76, of Chattanooga, passed away, Thursday, February 24, 2022. He was loved by his family & friends. He loved his grandchildren. He was a proud United States Marine. He was wounded in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart. He was Past Master of Daisy F & AM # 706. He was a member of Alhambra Shrine & the Flying Fez. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite. He was a private pilot and enjoyed flying for many years. He retired from TVA.

He was predeceased by his parents, Gert & Anna Lou DeVries; brother, Nolan DeVries, R.V. DeVries, Jerry DeVries, Donald DeVries; sister, Linda Kate DeVries Taylor.

Survivors include his daughter, Cindy (Billy) Flippo; son, David (Sandy) DeVries; grandchildren, Jake Flippo, Scott DeVries; brother, Mickey DeVries; long-time partner, Nancy Benton & her family was his family.

The family will hold a memorial service on Monday, March 7, at 1 p.m. with honors at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
