William E Hood III, 69 of Harrison, died Sunday, June 17, 2018. He was the owner of Hood Automotive in Harrison for many years. As a young boy, Bill started his lifelong love of working on cars with his Granddad, Clyde Roberts. Bill was a member of Hickory Valley Christian Church, where his Church Family gave him so much Love.

He was predeceased by his, father, William E Hood Jr.; mother-in-law, Mary Ann McConnell and stepson, Andrew E. Schulatz.

William is survived by loving wife, Marilyn McConnell Hood; grandaughter, Madilyn Schulatz, she was his pride & joy & special canine; Shyanne; mother, Mertice Hood; sister Janey Brooks; brother, Jim (Jenny) Hood; daughter; Robbin (Todd) Faulk, sons; Jimmy (Sheila) Hood and Steven (Shelly) Hood; 13 grandchildren; 2great-grandson; stepdaughter; Christiana (Tim) Maue of IN; daughter-in-law; Jessica Schulatz of IN, many loving nieces & nephews; special neighbor, Betty.

Bill met many loving friends in his lifetime, both on and off his job.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 2:00p.m. at Hickory Valley Christian Church, 6605Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN. Reverend Gary Armes will conduct a memorial service in the church at 3:00 p.m.
