August 10, 1926 – June 22, 2024
William H. Wilson was born on August 10, 1926, at Madison, Tennessee to Walter & Teckla Wilson. He had an older sister, LaVerne, and a younger sister, Patsy. He grew up on the campus of Madison College and never left home until he was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1945, during WW II. He was discharged in 1947, and went to college at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. He married Beverly Blair in Madison, Tennessee on August 23, 1949. They were two months short of their 75th anniversary when he passed away. In 1950, he graduated and for the next 8 years he was a high-school teacher and principal. He had three children, Candace, Kevin, and Kenton. In 1958, his career changed to the medical field, where he was employed as a hospital administrator for the next 48 years. He retired in 2006, to Ooltewah, Tennessee, where his son, Kevin and family lived. He was an active volunteer at The Samaritan Center, Southern Adventist University and It Is Written TV ministry.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughter, Candace (Lennard) Jorgensen; sons, Kevin (Scarlett) Wilson and Kent Wilson; grandchildren, Seth Wilson, Katy Wilson; brother-in-law, Jan Rushing; one niece, three nephews and a host of friends.
