William David Witt, Sr., 77, of Tellico Plains, TN, passed away, Thursday, August 14, 2025. He grew up in Chattanooga and graduated from Notre Dame High School. He went to work for Norfolk Southern. He retired as derailment specialist. He loved camping. He predeceased by his parents, Jewell Francis Witt, Regis F. Witt; daughter Cathy Witt. Survivors include his son, William David (Freda) Witt, Jr.; daughter, Missy Smith; sister, Dr. Mary (Fritz) Will; grandchildren, Josh Hood, Brandon O'Neil; two great-grandchildren.
