Zella Ann Tallant, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, age 84, passed away on June 3, 2025. Zella Ann was the oldest daughter of Gordon and Earleene Brooks. She was a resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee her entire life. She was an avid Tennessee Vols fan and when the ladies basketball team was playing, she was sure to be watching. She attended Tyner High School "1958". She was passionate about playing the piano and organ at church and enjoyed practicing in her own den. One of her most favorite hobbies was cooking for everyone and boy, was it always delicious. You never left hungry or it was your own fault. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Tallent, parents; Gordon and Earleene Brooks and son; Jeff Tallant. Survivors include daughter, Dana Tallant (Cindy Brown); son, Tom Tallant; granddaughters; Brittany Juzwiak and Allie Tallant; sister, Patricia Wilburn; six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at Lakeway Baptist Church located at 8727 SR-58S, Harrison, Tennessee 37341 on Friday, June 13, from 2 pm - 7 pm and on Saturday, June 14, from 12 pm - 2 pm. The Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm with Pastor Steve Moore officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana Tallant or Tom Tallant.
