Alva Borden Obituary

Alva Mae Hudson Borden, 93, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020.

She was active as a teen on her girls football and basketball teams and cheered on the cheerleading squad as well at Marion County High School. She was an avid reader all of her life and a talented seamstress. She loved working crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy. She had an amazing green thumb and raised many tasty vegetables. Her family was her life and she ruled from her recliner in later years as we fetched at her bidding, as she did not care to drive.

She was preceded in death by husband George Borden Jr, parents George and Abbie Jones Hudson, brother George “Shine” Hudson, son Ronald Borden. She is survived by sons Barry (Patty) Borden, Brian Borden and daughter Brenda Borden. Grandchildren Eric (Jill) Brandon, Drew Bradford and Nikki Bonnington.
