David Edward King peacefully died on Friday, September 10th, 2021, with his wife and three sons at his side.
David was a devoted and beloved husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and friend.
Born in 1936, David King grew up on a farm near Felixstowe, England.
After finishing his Master Apprenticeship, he married the love of his life, Cherry Sylvia Cousins in 1959.
Following his honorable service in the Royal Air Force, David left for the U.S. in the late 60s with his wife and 3 young sons.
Renowned throughout life for his brilliance as a design engineer and for his creativity, candor, and strength of character, David spent over six decades improving the lives of people and the state of Manufacturing in multiple industries.
David King is survived by his wife Cherry King, his three sons Timothy, David, and Matthew King, his seven loving grandchildren, as well as his great-grandson.
To these and to countless others, he leaves a legacy of respect and tolerance, a model of wisdom, humor, and quiet grace.
In business, David had countless friends and colleagues,
On the golf course, many companions, and partners.
But on the dance floor, there was only one.
The King Family will be celebrating David’s life at Cherry’s home on Thursday, September 23rd, from 4:00 to 8:00, and invite all who wish to share.
