David William “Davey Crickett” Russell, 94, of Apison, TN, journey ended on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. He was a member & caretaker of the Apison Seventh-Day Adventist Church & School. Thanks to the generosity of O.D. McKee in 1969, he was able to fulfill his life partner’s dream of raising their family in Collegedale, TN. He served as a Medic in the United States Army. He had a great sense of humor. He was a loyal friend & literally gave his shirt off his back. He was still spinning those records & playing scrabble to the end. Hopefully, we will all meet again in the hereafter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew & loved him.
