Obituary

Edward Lee Lamb, 86, of Collegedale, Tennessee, passed away, July 25, 2023. He was born in Los Angeles, CA to Percy West and Eva Mildred Chapel. Ed was a U.S. Army veteran. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Social Work and the former Dean of the School of Social Work at Southern Adventist University.

He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Charlotte Ann Lamb; in-laws, Wayne Clell and Mable Ruth Mackie Towerton.

Survivor include his wife of 61 years, Katie Ann Towerton; son, John Edward Lamb of Collegedale; daughter LCDR (Ret.) Janet Lee Lamb of Portsmouth, RI; granddaughters, Catharine Renee Barber, Molly Shylar Barber of Portsmouth, RI; sisters, Jo (Dick) Walters of Delta, CO, Mary (Tom) Ballard of Woodbine MD; sister-in-law, Gloria Wayne Towerton (Sherwin) Selby of Chico, CA; several nieces and nephews.
