Gloria Sue (Garner) Hunt, 88, of Chattanooga, went to be the Lord on Friday, February 26, 2021. A 1950 graduate of Tyner and former DuPont employee, Gloria loved organizing her Tyner class reunions. Her hobbies demonstrated her excellent skills at crochet, needlepoint, and cross-stitch. She was also skilled at word puzzles. Devotion to friends and family was paramount in her life. Gloria and Tom loved to travel and only failed in their desire to see Australia.
She was predeceased by her parents, Melvin and Ona Garner, and brother Buddy (& Pat) Garner. She is survived by two sisters: Bobbie Scroggins and Janice (Larry) Durham; and 7 nieces and 5 nephews.
Service will be held on March 4 at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1 p.m. Tom Hunt will speak about his and Gloria's life. Others are invited to speak if they choose. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Chattanooga Hospice, 937 Blackford Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403.
