Jerry W. Fountain, 77, went home, Monday, November 9, 2020. He is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ-absent from the body present with the Lord. He is a member of Brainerd Baptist Church & Friendship Class. He was a proud veteran of the USAF, where he served in Europe & America for eight years. He was also a member of East Ridge Masonic Lodge #755 F&AM and a Shriner, Alhambra Temple. He enjoyed the times at Wolftever Fishing Club with family & friends. Jerry Spent many years painting & remodeling homes in the family business, started in 1942 by his father. He was so proud, now the third generation continues by his sons. He retired from Fountain Construction in 2008.
He was predeceased by his parents, W.B. & Rosa Lee Fountain; brothers, Bud & Alfred; sisters, Jewel Marie Fountain, Jean James & granddaughter, Kimber Lee Lofty.
Survivors include his adoring wife of 56 years, Norma; sons, Jeff (Toni), Russell (Andi); grandsons, Tim, Dallas, Dakota & Griffin Fountain; great-granddaughter, Suzannah Lofty; sisters, Ann Jamison, Jackie (James) Bankston; brothers, Dr. Charles (Louise) Fountain, Paul (Dee) Fountain & many nieces & nephews.
Due to COVID restrictions there will only be a private graveside service for immediate family. Please wear masks. Dr. Charles Fountain will conduct the graveside service at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Tuesday at 11a.m.
