Leo “Pawpaw” Bishop, 74, of Rock Spring, GA, became our guardian angel, Saturday, January 9, 2021. Leo was an avid musician, loved to play the guitar and sing. Leo retired from Hutchinson Memorial Medical Center with 12 years’ service as a floor tech and transporter. He received several rewards for perfect attendance and outstanding devotion to serving people.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas & Bertha Bishop and five brothers, David Smith, John Smith, Bill Smith, G.R. Smith, and Earl Mayes.
Leo has one living brother Ron Miles, Aurora, IN and 1 living sister Rose Evans, Lincoln, NC.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Bishop; daughters, Cherie (Chuck) Wilson, Lori (Selwyn) Bodley, Valerie (Larry) Nash; five grandchildren, Courtney Deegan, Michael Bodley, Courtney (Bruce) Snyder, Charli (Levi) Brewster and Gary Nash, several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The Reverend Larry Nash will conduct a graveside service at Lakewood Memory Gardens South on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 1 p.m.
