Mark Edward Fairris, age 47, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
Mark worked as a carpenter, electrician, and poured iron for a living during his lifetime.
Mark had a particularly close relationship with his sister, Earline. The bond and closeness the two of them shared was immeasurable and will forever be missed.
Mark was the type of person who would stand by your side no matter what, love you unequivocally, depending on who you were (LOL) and he certainly kept life very interesting.
Mark definitely lived his life out loud and without apology. He never mixed words and was sometimes brutally honest to a fault which is one of the things that made you love and respect him. you always knew where you stood with Mark whether you liked it or not.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Milton & Evelyn Fairris of Chattanooga, TN and Eddie Pu & Ellen Kalua of Maui, Hawaii; father, Milton M. Fairris, Jr; brother, Milton M. Fairris, III; son, Ashlyn Edward Fairris; niece, Ashley I. Brown; and cousin, Aaron L. Mullins, all of Chattanooga, TN.
Survivors include his son, Chasten R. Fairris; mother, Loretta L. Battles of Rossville, GA; sister, Earline K. (Chris) Green of Rossville, GA; aunt Jeanna & Ricky Mullins of Chattanooga, TN and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 25 from 4 -7 p.m. and noon - 2p.m. on Tuesday at Carpenter Church, 700 Park City Road, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30741. Pastor Nathan Garmany will conduct the memorial service at 2p.m. in the church.
