Norman Douglas Ostrander, 88, of Chattanooga, passed away June 23, 2020. Norman dedicated his life to the ministry pastoring in 7 different states, and leading numerous congregations. He retired from his second career as a driver for Groom Transportation in 2018. He proudly served as a member of the United States Air Force and was a devoted husband and a dedicated father.
Norman is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Ostrander; mother, Velma Ostrander; two sisters, Betty Jo (Tom) Johnson and Beverly Rae (Robert) Becht.
Norman is survived in death by his wife of 68 years, Doris Ostrander; daughters, Tamara (James) Huff and Diana (Shaun) Clayton; grandchildren, Claire (Aaron) Keiser, Caleb Huff, Syler (Angela) Clayton, Siena Clayton, Dassah Clayton and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. June 28, 2020 at Chattanooga First Seventh-Day Adventist Church, followed by the funeral services at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Christopher Sauvé officiating. Graveside services will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery June 29, 2020 at 1:30 p.m.
