Stanton Lynn DeBord died suddenly on March 3, 2022 at a local hospital.
Stan was born on January 15, 1955. He was the only child of James Oliver DeBord and Bobbie McDaniel DeBord, both deceased.
From the playing field at the University of Georgia to armchair analyst alongside Paul Finebaum, Stan loved college football. He had a vast knowledge and appreciation of the game. He was an intelligent and charming conversationalist who cared deeply about his people and their details. He never wanted to miss a detail, important or not. Daily activities of his children and grandchildren were as important to him as the milestones.
He enjoyed his life and his routine. He valued simplicity. Less was always more with him.
Stan is survived by his partner and the love of his life, Rebecca DeBord, his daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Bobby Rosser; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Sarah DeBord. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Hannah Kathryn Rosser, Holly Grace Rosser, Hunter Robert Rosser, Jameson Boone DeBord and two foster grandchildren. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Nancy and Ralph Hegwood with several cousins and extended family.
There will be no public service. All events are private.
