Steven Powell Obituary

Steven Harold Powell, 80, joined the heavenly choir on Saturday April 13, 2024.

Steve was a loving husband of 61 years to Rebecka Woody Powell. He was devoted to his family and a friend to many by always putting others first. He had a way of making everyone feel loved. His smile was wide and his laugh infectious.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Opal Powell; three brothers, Lawrence, Jerry and Mallory and sister, Sarah.

He is survived by his wife, Becky and their four children, Teresa (Jeff) Gibson, Ronda (Kent) Moore, Sheri (Tommy) Chamberlain and son, Scott Powell, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many extended family members that he loved so dearly.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 4400 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, Tennessee. Pastor Preston Brown will conduct the service on Wednesday, April 17 at 11 a.m. in the church.
