Sue Spicer, 57, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
She moved to Chattanooga in 1981 to attend Tennessee Temple where she earned her B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She taught 24 years at 1st Centenary United Methodist Church. She was the “BEST TEACHER” and the children, including their families, called her “Miss Sue”.
Sue had a huge love of music and had the voice to go with it. She was the Children’s Choir Director at Calvary Bible Church. She also loved photography, her family and all of her friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Otto H. Spicer; grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
Survivors include her mother, Irene Spicer; brother, Scott (Angie) Spicer; sister, Crystal (Jesse) Simmons and special nephew, Zack.
The family will conduct a memorial service on Sunday, May 2 at Calvary Bible Church, 4001 Mountain Creek Road, Chattanooga, TN., at 11a.m.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Erlanger Hospital, SICU and all of its staff; a very special thank you to Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care of Sue.
