Thelma Pauline (Ogle) Penney

Thelma Penney, 96, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 20, 2020. Born to Issac Coy & Ethyl Mae Ogle in 1924. She was a devoted wife & mother of three children, three grandchildren & three great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church for many years. She loved her church & many dear friends. She loved her home & family and she especially loved her working in her beautiful yard.  

She was predeceased by her husband, Chester Penney; son, Bryan Penney; sister, Hazel Wilson and brother, Jim Ogle.

Left to cherish her memories are son, Gary Penney; daughter, Annette (Jeff) Walker; grandchildren, Shannon (Mike) Loy, Hadden Penney, Jordan (Jessica) Hammons; great-grandchildren, Jaylyn, Julian & Jemisyn Hammons and several nieces & nephews.

Special thank you to neighbors, Treva & Fred Scholosshan, who said she said were the best neighbors anyone could ask for and to Denise Morrow, her niece, who was always there for anything she needed. She will be terribly missed.

Pastor Bill Owens will conduct a graveside service at Chattanooga National Cemetery, Wednesday, August 26 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ridgedale Baptist Church.
