Thomas “Tom” Jacob Hunt, 90, of Chattanooga, passed away, Sunday, November 21, 2021. Tom grew up in Chattanooga, TN. As a young man, he was a lifeguard, and loved to build cars and hotrods were his favorites. Tom served in the U.S. Navy Seabees, in the Philippine Islands, during the Korean War. After returning home, he became a salesman of many things, cars, sewing machines, and his final career was selling animal veterinary supplies.
He was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Christine Hunt (Wilson) and his beloved wife, Gloria Sue Hunt (Garner).
Survivors include his two sisters-in-law, Mary Scroggins (Garner) and Janice Durham (Garner), Larry Durham, Bill Ownbey, three nieces and nephews, and six great-nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday, December 6, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
