Our Services

Direct Cremation & Funeral Services

We keep things simple, but simple doesn’t mean limited.

Most families choose direct cremation — it’s straightforward, respectful, and doesn’t require flipping through a binder of “package options” named after trees. And if you want a funeral, a memorial, a graveside service, or a one-day gathering, we help with that too.

We don’t steer every family into the same room just because it’s convenient for us.

You choose the place that feels right — a church, a lodge, a civic hall, a graveside, a backyard, a park pavilion… even the Bass Pro Shop parking lot — absolutely not.

Direct Cremation This is our most chosen service because it’s clear and honest. We bring your loved one into our care, handle the paperwork, perform the cremation on-site, and return the ashes to you. No pressure. No mystery. No “essential upgrades” that somehow cost more than the service itself.

Direct cremation gives families room to breathe — and room to plan something personal if they want to. It also keeps you from being buried in decisions. See what we did there?

Funerals, Memorials & Graveside Services Yes, we do funerals. We just don’t pretend our building is the only place they can happen. Most families prefer to gather somewhere meaningful — a church, a lodge, a civic hall, a graveside, a backyard, a park pavilion.

We help you plan it, coordinate it, and make sure everything runs smoothly. Whether it’s a traditional funeral, a one-day service, or a simple graveside gathering, we’ll walk you through every step without turning it into a sales pitch.

You get the service you want. You don’t get the pressure you don’t.

Optional Services

We keep our service list short on purpose.

If you’ve ever seen a funeral home brochure with 47 “optional enhancements,” you know why. These are the things families ask for the most — nothing strange, nothing invented to pad a bill, nothing that requires a spreadsheet.

Just real options, offered because they’re actually useful.   Additional Death Certificates You’ll need a few. Some families need more. We’ll help you figure out how many make sense so you’re not making extra trips later — because no one has ever said, “You know what I’d love to do today? Go back to the health department.”

  • The Cost: Tennessee: $15 each. Georgia: $25 for the first, $5 each additional. We don't mark these up; you pay exactly what the state charges.

  • Urns & Keepsakes: Use the simple container included with our service, bring something meaningful from home, or choose an urn or keepsake from us. We don’t do the “limited-edition heirloom series” routine. Just straightforward options without the sales pitch.

  • Service Coordination: If you’re planning a funeral, memorial, or graveside service at a church, lodge, civic hall, backyard, or anywhere else that isn’t the Bass Pro Shop parking lot — still no — we’ll help coordinate everything so the day runs smoothly.

What You Don’t Need

Some things get talked about in the funeral world like they’re mandatory. They’re not.

If you want them, great. If you don’t, even better — that’s time and money you don’t have to spend. Here are the things people ask about all the time, and the honest answers most places won’t give you.

Embalming You don’t need it for cremation. You don’t need it for most services. You only need it if you’re having a public viewing with an open casket.

Caskets: You don’t need a casket for cremation. You don’t need a casket for a memorial service. You only need one if you’re having a traditional funeral with a viewing — and even then, you don’t need the one with the hydraulic lid and the velvet interior that looks like it was designed by a casino.

Vaults are required by some cemeteries, not by the state, and not by all cemeteries. They’re not about preservation or symbolism. Their main purpose is simple: to keep the ground from sinking over time so the cemetery can maintain the lawn and operate equipment safely.

They also keep the soil from collapsing directly onto the casket and can slow down how quickly moisture reaches it — but they don’t stop moisture, time, or natural breakdown.

If you’re not burying someone, you don’t need one. And if you are burying someone, the only reason you might need one is that the cemetery requires it — not because the law does. “Package Deals” The only “package” you’ll see from us is an extra day of service. Not a bundle of unnecessary add-ons dressed up like a deal.

Rushed Decisions You don’t have to decide everything in the first 24 hours. Take a breath. Take a day. There’s no prize for getting it all done the fastest.

What Makes Us Different

Most funeral homes say the same things — family-owned, compassionate, professional, here for you, etc. We believe those should be the baseline, not the sales pitch.

Here’s what actually sets us apart:

We’re on-site. Your loved one stays in our care from the moment they arrive until the cremation is complete. No “they’re actually at our other location” surprises.

We’re transparent. You get clear pricing, clear explanations, and no “you really should consider upgrading” conversations. If something costs more, we’ll tell you the reason. It won’t be because “that’s just how it’s always been.” We’re the place your cousin who researches everything would choose — the one who reads reviews, checks licenses, and shows up with a spreadsheet and three follow-up questions.

We don’t upsell grief. Some places treat loss like a chance to sell you more stuff. We don’t. You won’t leave here wondering how a $300 urn pendant suddenly became “essential.”

We keep the process simple. There’s enough going on already. We handle the paperwork, the coordination, the logistics — all the things that shouldn’t be your problem right now. You won’t need a checklist, a binder, or a second meeting to understand what’s happening.

We’re a real family business — not a chain with a nice logo. We’ve been serving Tennessee and Georgia families for generations. We don’t answer to shareholders, regional managers, or a corporate pricing sheet. No one in another state is telling us what your family “should” buy.

We’re modern without being cold. You get the efficiency and clarity of a modern cremation provider, without the “tech startup” vibe or the feeling that you’re talking to a chatbot.

The "What Now?" Guide

Unless you’ve made some very specific life choices, you probably don’t have a "In Case of Death" playbook sitting on your nightstand. Here is how we get the logistics out of the way so you can go back to being a human being.

The SOS Call. You call us. We aren't going to read you a script that sounds like a telemarketer selling a timeshare. We’ll get the address, answer the "Wait, what do I do right now?" questions, and get moving to bring your loved one into our care.

The Strategy Session. We sit down and walk through the decisions. If you’ve opted for a Standard Cremation, we aren't going to spend an hour trying to "upgrade" you to a casket that costs more than a used Honda. We get the paperwork done, talk about the service ideas you actually care about, and let you get on with your day.

The Heavy Lifting. Your loved one stays right here with us. We handle the cremation ourselves because we’re big on actually doing the job we were hired for. No mystery locations or "partner facilities"—just straightforward care from the same people you talked to on the phone.

The Paperwork Jungle: We handle the filing with the health department and notify Social Security. Most people would rather spend a Saturday at the DMV than deal with death certificates and government notifications, so we handle the bureaucracy while you stay as far away from it as possible.

The Finish Line: When the dust settles, we get the ashes back to you or finalize the service details. We don’t just hand you a container and point toward the exit like we're clearing a table. Whether you’re planning a big send-off or just want to go home and be quiet, we make sure the final hand-off is the easiest part of your week.

The Return Once the process is complete, we coordinate the return of the ashes or the scheduling of the service. We don’t just hand you a container and disappear; we’re here to help with the next chapter, whether that’s a memorial or a private scattering.
